Solution. Hamas wants to obliterate Israel. Bibi’s cabinet which was whisked aside in conducting the war probably wants that for the Palestinians. That’s at least partly why they were whisked aside. Whatever bibi wants, he knows he can’t obliterate 5 mil Palestinians. His own democracy won’t stand for that. Much of it is opposed to the war as it’s being conducted now.

Pre-Oct 7 Bibi wanted Palestinians to remain divided. Post-Oct 7, I think he just wants to put off his day of reckoning as long as he possibly can.
