I guess I didn’t hear anyone “both side genocide.” The U Penn lady gave a

mealy mouthed answer to a “when did you stop beating your wife” type question from a political hack. That seems to be the disconnect — and the exact point I’m making.

“Both siding genocide” would be someone saying it’s OK to exterminate Jews because they exterminate Arabs. If anyone said that, fuck them!

Maybe you disagree, but I thought what Magill and others who testified said (some more effectively than others) was that they aren’t thought police and don’t punish students for having ignorant or even offensive opinions, only for using them in a bullying or harassing way. Basically, they refused to concede that anyone was actually calling for or supporting genocide or threatening or intimidating their fellow students, which I have yet to see a clear example of either.

I’d add that that deplorable crackpot Stefanik went so far as to say anyone using the term “intifada” supports genocide, which is just flat out bullshit. That’s the equivalent of saying “Resist” stickers on libbrul Priuses call for the extermination of all Republicans.

That said I would certainly hope actually promoting genocide of anyone — even redneck crackers in MAGA hats — would not be tolerated anywhere.
