Consensus anywhere that only Israel’s view of anything should be all that matters. I can’t see how you got that from SC’s post. But if anything, the opposite is true. Consensus is fairly firmly against Israel around the world.

SC wasn’t saying anything of that sort. He was wondering what the people of any country would be expected to do after something like Oct 7. For perspective, take our 9/11 and multiply it by 10, and that’s probably about half the impact that had on Israeli psyche. And then he was wondering about the standard Israel is being held to compared with any other country in its shoes.

There isn’t even an “Israeli perspective”. There are lots of them. This is from yesterday, an Israeli investigative report accusing the IDF of being far too aggressive - of too many mostly being out for vengeance.

Which doesn’t excuse it, but I don’t know what you’re smoking if you think anyone globally will turn a blind eye to Israel’s wrongs here. The problem in my view is that so few globally even try walking in the shoes of the pro-Israel side. But make no mistake - you will not find Palestinian investigative reports exposing the hidden ugliness on that side. The caliphate they want from the river to sea will not be a liberal proponent of freedom of anything.

Now, that’s a perspective nobody seems to understand, if you’re looking for something like that.
