Sort of like Lebanon is one state?

If you had one state in Israel, that is what you would get. A sectarian war. Its not that Jews and Arabs (or Christians and Arabs) can't live together in peace and prosperity; its that it doesn't take very many guns, warlords and factions to break the whole structure down.

And there are more than enough wannabe warlords and weapons suppliers to make it a mess.
