Not sure I agree that a 2 state solution is something that

nobody wants.

I agree that neither Hamas, nor Israeli leadership have demonstrated that they want that. However, if you offered permanent peace and self determination to the Palestinian people, I bet they'd go for it. Sure, some/many hate Israelis and everything related to Judaism, but would a mom and dad trade that vengeance for a chance to raise their children in safety? I'd bet most would.

The trick is how do you get from here to there when political forces don't want that.
