Exactly, SS adds to the deficit at the same percentage as any other

Expenditure. SS is approx. 28% of expenditures, so it is responsible for 28% of the deficit right now. Merely having a pencil jockey say some portion of taxes is dedicated to SS doesn't change that fact.
