Sure -- I was talking about post-Reagan. Obviously the GOP was a much

different animal when Ike was president.

But I do think for the last 40 years or so they've pulled a remarkable con job on working Americans going all the way back to Nixon's southern strategy and the Reagan Democrats who voted to bust up their own unions.
