Yes. Interesting but with four flaws in his argument.


First, our current state of hyper-partisanship would infect the lottery. Sure, Alabama might do better than Tuberville with a random selection, but maybe that's what you'd get or worse.

Second, new and untested people break unstated rules than maintain order. They also are unfamiliar with the levers of power that can be used to get things done.

Third, if we trusted democracy, we wouldn't have the electoral college.

Fourth, do we include the court system?
