That’s one of the best things you’ve ever posted although I disagree with


it completely. Yes, people who seek power often do bad things once they achieve it, and yes, voters don’t always do a good job vetting candidates for election. But all in all over the history of our country, we haven’t made that many big mistakes, except recently. Typically elected officials work themselves up through the ranks, starting at local levels. This gives people an opportunity to better see who these elected officials are, and it allows for a bit of a weeding out process as things go along. Not everyone who should get weeded out gets weeded out. Of course, when someone with no political experience whatsoever runs for a high office, like president for example, there’s no experience to judge him and her on. Unless the person has been making a public jack ass out of himself for decades, displaying his lack of character. Unfortunately, he got elected anyway , so nothings perfect
