It all comes down to men wanting to control women. Usually the types of

Men who women find unattractive and repulsive.

Whether it’s stoning women to death for adultery (while the husband gets to enjoy multiple side-pieces), accusing them of witchcraft and burning them at the stake, forcing young girls into marriage with some creepy old man they want nothing to do with, refusing to treat them as equals in society, telling them their place is home nursing children not in the professional world, or simply calling them sluts and whores for exploring their own sexuality, it’s all the same thing.

As your favorite comedian said “they’re not pro-life, they’re anti-woman.”

Misogyny runs pretty deep in human history and particularly with religious types.
