I can’t believe contraception is politically controversial in 2022.
Or that a GOP controlled state government would pull out all stops to make a 4th grade rape victim bring her pregnancy to term.
How do you vote for anyone in a party that is clearly, absolutely intent on turning back the clock to “more innocent times” with things like this? I don’t understand.
Economies rise and fall, and governments in capitalist societies have very little impact on them, although they always benefit from good times and suffer from bad. Gotta blame somebody when prices are rising.
But a political party that has gone so off the rails on deeply personal rights, like contraception, which we all thought were commonly held by all Americans for decades now - that’s a true voting consideration. I wish there was a true American conservative alternative, but the closest available to that is in the centrist leaning part of the dem party. Imperfect, but the Liz Cheney’s of the GOP have less chance of being nominated for president than Matt Gaetz.
Little tip for Trumpistan - Gaetz ain’t no conservative. Conservatives like Cheney and Romney are now persona non grata in Trumpistan. [Post edited by hoolstoptheheels at 07/26/2022 11:35AM]
