I’m sorry too. I live in NY permanently. Spend a lot of time in the city.


Crime is up. A hell-hole it isn’t.

Biden specifically denounced defund at every turn. NYers did just select the strongest law and order guy from a slate of mayoral candidates including some extreme lefties.

I agree in part that dems did not oppose defund as strongly as they should have at all levels, seemingly for fear of offending the BLM movement. But very few supported it.

In a way, I am agreeing with you. I have a completely different perception of NYC in ‘20, and I was there too. Who cares. We both oppose defund. I may doubt the actual widespread existence of crt in schools, whatever crt actually means. Again, who cares. Just oppose the offending lesson plans where ever they exist, even if they are not as prominent as repub propaganda suggests.

There are many reasons for those shifting population patterns, crime being one, along with cost of living (CA in particular), and accelerated changes in work-life perceptions brought be the pandemic.
