What's the matter with Kansas? ;) There's actually been some discussion of

it in the Washington legislature, but I'm pretty sure I know how it will turn out given the state's already broad protections for LBGT folks. But I do notice that my friends and relatives from Arkansas, Mississippi, Alabama and Texas seem to be the most weirded out.

The social differences between where I live now and where I grew up seem pretty stark. Announcements like this from the Administration provoke an almost allergic reaction in the South politically. It's fascinating.
