This is such a complex and unique issue

On the one hand, I think being a male but wanting to be a female (and vice versa) is some sort of mental 'issue'. Rachel Dolezal was tar and feathered for basically the same thing. You're wanting to be something that you're just not, physically.

On the other hand, I don't know anyone male or female that "identifies" themselves with the opposite sex. So my perspective on the matter is really limited and I have trouble completely disregarding or denying their desire to be another gender, or whatever. Maybe they really are a woman trapped in a man's body. How would we ever know?

I believe in supporting and bringing up everyone. But I kind of think the trans-community need to make some concessions in this regard. Would it be so bad to present a Doctor's note if you really wanted to use the opposite locker room?
