When you start pushing it to include showers/locker rooms, athletics, and already take away the ability for the organization to define hoo is eligible, you will only turn more people away from supporting you and force them to dig in their heels and fight. Not to mention, you're now using a political and potentially biased agency to interpret law, and use the threat of suits and withholding funds to enforce that interpretation. Essentially playing the part of courts, before it even gets to that point.

I don't agree with how the school system here in VA decided to set policy (which was bathrooms only and didn't require a diagnosis because it was genitalia based), but don't they have the right to continue the court process already started to support their position, without judgement already being handed down by the Obama administration?

I don't think this letter will help the cause they are trying to further, but rather harm it.
