All I said is that over 80% of the country lives in places like NOVA, so
the notion that "real America" is rural/smalltown America where a lot fewer people live (almost no one who isn't a WASP and where populations have been declining since the 70's) is laughable. I always cringe a bit when I hear that line (and it's divisive message), and it's coming through full force in this thread.
Your post of course has other issues and is full of your own version of class warfare stereotypes. A bit sad you would consider 80% of the nation to be a bunch of arrogant pricks and even more puzzling that you would peg the exurbs as some bastion of elitist assholes. The vast majority of people in those areas are working class themselves. Come check out Manassas, Woodbridge, Stafford, Sterling, Laurel, or other areas some time and tell me how snooty and obnoxious you find the people. You might find those to be predominantly working class areas.
On a side, I might be a redneck because I know damn well who Jeff Foxworthy is, I grew up in a town most in my current area consider to be "redneck" and tend to enjoy the outdoors when I get a chance. [Post edited by WahooRQ at 05/12/2016 10:34AM]
