One can never count on Trump to follow through on his statements, but his statements suggest a presidency dedicated to concentrating as much power as possible in the exec branch, which will be staffed by people loyal to Trump and his constant mission to undermine all the foundational pillars of our democracy. Especially the judiciary and elections.

So I do expect 2.0 to be more of a stress test on our guardrails than 1.0. But I agree that antitrumpies become his confederates in that effort with their hysteria. The right approach will be to double down on respect for the election result. And then lots of vigilance, but not hysterically, on his autocratic plans.
