The economy as a headwind seems baked in, regardless of good stats.


Rates can’t start coming down fast enough at this point to help Biden. Even if inflation starts back down again, prices are still higher than 4 yrs ago, and too many hear “moderating prices” when economists say “moderating inflation”. Imo the best Biden can expect is “no more of a headwind than it is now”.

The latter is something to hope for, and it might turn the tide. But nobody gets away with batshit crazy like Trump.
