Right. It's the problem with theories and the danger of
believing a theory will work as intended. In the short run, people tend to react selfishly to change, and it is ALWAYS in the short run. Will the benefit of higher wages "raise the tide" for everyone eventually? Or will the immediate reactions to cut jobs, restructure jobs and wages become such an anchor that the economy sinks and stay down?
And I agree, there is simply an increasing trends of jobs just going away, some to far lands, some just not needed anymore. And the latter at least will continue no matter what politicians do.
