Very likely that consensus will be Israel did not do enough in some cases. Almost inevitable with the sheer volume of bombs dropped in Gaza.

It would be a bit more palatable to me if the international demands for a ceasefire accompanied equally strong demands for a release of the hostages. At a minimum reasonable people should be demanding both.

It truly happens to be that many of these protestors, imo particularly in our universities, consider no Israelis to be innocent. All Israelis are occupiers and oppressors. Really, many of them think all Jews are collectively guilty of that. So why don’t they call for hostage releases as strenuously as they call for a ceasefire? Implicitly, their messaging is “even Israeli infants are oppressors”.
