The 10/7 attacks were horrific and deadly, but my pulled-from-my-ass guess is that they represent the upper limit of Hamas's capability, or close to it. Israel has blown through those numbers by a factor of 10. That's not to say that it needs to be a 1:1 ratio or anything, but it's fair to ask whether or not this is all justified, particularly when so many of the dead are civilians, and so many of those are children.
