Well - before no hospital was bombed - it was a Hamas rocket

Now they are conducting military operations in and around a hospital - so they are saying that is the case. So Israel is saying exactly what they are doing.

There are screams for Israel to minimize civilian casualties, but when Israel tells all the civilians to leave an area, there are screams that isn't appropriate and backwards questions of whether Israel's attempts to get civilians to move out of harm's way is really genocide. Israel waited weeks to send in ground forces - asking, begging civilians to leave the Gaza City. Israel is announcing daily safe passage corridors for people to move. Israel is using roof knocks and announcing where military strikes will be before they occur. All of these things are major hinderances to fighting an enemy and all of they are done to minimize civilian harm.

Hamas isn't trying to get civilians out of harms way. Hamas didn't warn civilians to get out of the area near Gaza so they could attack Israel military targets without harming them. Hamas is actively preventing civilians from leaving and placing its military / command units in places where the most vulnerable (schools / hospitals / etc.) are located. Hamas wants as many civilians killed as possible - any civilians.

There are people all over the world demanding that Israel stop - asking for a ceasefire, from Israel. Maybe their demands should be directed to a ceasefire from Hamas - demand that they release every hostage they have taken. But no one expects Hamas to do that - so the blame gets directed at Israel because they are believe to have a moral compass and believed to have reasonable values and believed to care about preserving human life.

Maybe what Israel is doing is minimizing civilian casualties. Hamas is deeply imbedded into Gaza's civilian infrastructure and they are intentionally using their most vulnerable civilians as human shields - yet the civilian casualties number only in the thousands. Israel seems to be doing an incredibly good job of minimizing civilian casualties while also conducting a military operation against a neighboring government that has an explicitly aim to completely destroy Israel, invaded their country, killed hundreds of innocent citizens and took hundreds of hostages. Short of not responding militarily, could Israel being doing better at minimizing civilian casualties?
