Lots of things are upside down, and in away I agree that each side should


Call itself out for its own illiberalism at least as eagerly as it does the other. It’s hard to do - especially when we identify with a group and see existential threats to it, we tend to not tolerate criticism of our own side. That’s human nature. It’s dangerous because it drives us to accept things we normally wouldn’t.
