I don’t. Show me a single post I’ve ever made demanding people stop
Complaining about an election result.
I’m not searching all my posts, so maybe you can find careless wording for which I’ll take a mea culpa if you really want, but I only recall complaining about attempts to overthrow the election. Not about complaints about it.
I was a Bush voter in 2000. I was happy with the SC’s final verdict. Al Gore wasn’t. He said he disagreed. While he was making the point that he had NO CHOICE but to accept the ruling, and he immediately conceded. I didn’t complain about any part of Gore’s concession, including his complaints about disagreeing with it. I applauded it, because it was a full throated endorsement of the constitution.
You guys don’t realize that with these bullshit false equivalences, you keep highlighting Trump’s blatant anti-Americanism. The point of all those prior complaints is that the complainers all endorsed the results they disagreed with. Reminding us that they did that in spite of their personal disagreements is a double down on commitment to be bound by courts of law, which is how we resolve our disagreements in this country. They can bitch about it until their last breath with all their might. But they accepted the final result. That’s how our constitution works. [Post edited by hoolstoptheheels at 08/30/2023 10:28AM]
