Boca, you are...

...using numbers based on estimates and calling them "facts". "Excess deaths" is a made-up number. There is no certitude involved with it. I'll grant you that deaths have spiked in 2020 and 2021, but to say that you know the precise number of "excess deaths" is absurd. It is not a "calculable number" -- it is an estimate.

Additionally, you don't know the causes of these deaths. Some were due to COVID no doubt, but some were to due to other factors, INCLUDING THE RESPONSE TO COVID. To just say, "OMG, I can't believe one million people died in excess of my forecast over a two-year period!!!" doesn't tell us anything about anything. It is a useless statistic.

Finally, it doesn't surprise me at all that you know five people who've gone to the hospital for respiratory issues, with one dying. That is not remarkable to me. I know a few people who go to the hospital for the flu or pneumonia every year -- who cares? What is remarkable to me is that you think it's remarkable. Of all the people you know, only five -- five! -- got so sick that they needed to go to a hospital DURING THE WORST SO-CALLED PANDEMIC OF OUR ENTIRE LIVES.

But I'll say it again, we can just stipulate that all your assertions are facts. So, what? It doesn't matter. There's not a damn thing we could have done about it, and the things that were done have wrought massive destruction. THAT is the issue -- not an uncontrollable respiratory virus.
