I live here -- I know what happened -- and a meaningless GDP stat (pumped up by more than half a trillion dollars in federal deficit spending that you like to whine about) doesn't change that.

Millions unemployed and mass underemployment on top of that, tens of thousands of shuttered businesses, tens of billions in unemployment insurance fraud, incalculably damaging staffing disruptions, higher costs for everything, mortgage delinquencies/defaults, higher crime and on and on and on. Go visit downtown San Francisco, downtown LA or downtown Santa Monica even today and let me know what you think.

As usual, you have tried to play Captain Statistics and failed because you have yet again cherry-picked one number to represent a multi-faceted and multi-variable issue.

Like I said, its evergreen.
