I'd say we had about 18 months of stringent monkeyhammering of the economy here with either total closure of businesses or limited capacity restrictions with retarded mask and vax mandates. Then about another year of milder monkeyhammering. The outward consumer-facing restrictions disappeared before the behind-the-scenes bullshit that business owners had to deal with. Obviously, the latter continues to impact the economy negatively to this day.
