Note that this press conference took place in March 2020 when nobody knew what possible treatments might be available to treat -- note TREAT, not prevent -- COVID, including our dipshit national infectious disease "expert" whose literal job it was to come up with recommended treatments for things like this (and whom we've since found out was likely the American most responsible for the creation of COVID in a Chinese lab). You know what else was just a "feeling": Masks, social distancing, kicking kids out of school, bankrupting businesses and borrowing $10 trillion and then lighting it on fire.

In a situation where there is a cold virus going around that has no known treatment (like most cold viruses), there is nothing wrong with speculating that well-known and harmless drugs that mitigate symptoms of respiratory viruses might also work on COVID. They might. They might not. Trump wasn't coming up with this in a vacuum -- there were significant numbers of healthcare practitioners recommending and prescribing these treatments then and afterward all over the world. The alternative was to try absolutely nothing, which would be medical malpractice.

Regardless, no harm was done by speculating that things like this might work. I know you must blame Trump for all things COVID, but that is your TDS talking, not the facts.
