Border, so that all the risks they claim to fear there stay exactly as serious as they are, so they can campaign on it? They stir hysteria about the border, but given a golden oppty to reduce the chaos there, they show that whet they really want is the hysteria. For at least 5 more years, because if Trump derails this, and wins the election, but not 60 senate seats, nothing will be passed in that term.

I don’t really care if they support Russian expansionism in this context. I don’t get it, but whatever - bigger point is do they still support the life’s blood of the country - compromise. We gaslight ourselves all the time about the “founders” favoring this or that. Bullshit - the founders didn’t agree on anything at all. Except for one thing - the absolute need to compromise in order to survive. Separate squabbling little states had no chance. So they held their noses and compromised on something nobody really liked. Yet, it spawned the greatest and oldest democracy on earth.

That’s the one and only thing the founders agreed on. Trumpub rejection of that reality is the fundamental shit they constantly take all over the original American compromise - the constitution.
