Don't really think there is much of a point to this thread, tbh.
As for the story about California schools allowing special dorms, not really seeing how it's that much different from black fraternities or black colleges, neither of which has ever bothered me or made me feel threatened. Aside from a heightened degree of state action due to this being a public school, of course.
I don't necessarily think it's productive or does anything to foster better race relations to be that militant about it, but I'm a middle aged white dude and really don't care all that much. Nor do I pretend to have a clue regarding what it's like to be black, etc. It's super lame when white people get on a high horse about this stuff and pretend racism and related practices haven't existed since the Civil War and that minorities standing up for themselves more vocally is today's version of racism. Actually, pathetic is a better word.
