That's the part I think the Clintonistas underestimate. As we move to Nov,

Hillary is fully capable of saying/doing (or more accurately having the FBI say/do) something that makes reasonable people that would vote for her mostly because she's not Trump say "enough is enough, I just can't vote for her." and has mostly downward ability. She's not picking up voters other than salvaging as many Feel the Berners as she can.

Trump actually could say and do things that make someone that thought they could never vote for Trump say "hmm, ok, maybe he's not such a nutjob, it was all bluster, and he's now done his homework and actually has a clue. Maybe he's not the worst of the two bad options." So his ability is mostly upward since he could pick up voters that never thought they would up to this point.

Will Trump actually do that? That, of course is the million dollar question. He may be a vile disgusting person that says vile disgusting things, but he's certainly not stupid. So I certainly wouldn't rule out it being possible.
