The answer to your last question depends on whether they care at all about
Policy or are just engaging in "protest voting."
I finally met my first stereotype defying Trump supporter this weekend at a wedding. Not a racist or a jerk -- just a small business owner who literally said he's supporting Trump because he wants to see the whole system go up in smoke.
It's a terrifying thought that people would be flippant with an idea so serious. It's basically like jumping off a cliff and just hoping there is deep water at the bottom. And it's sad because much of the rhetoric about how "broken" the country is amounts to little more than hyperbolic sensationalism and lies. But people believe it and are willing to make that leap.
Doesn't help that there has been s successful 23 year smear campaign against Hillary and she's a pretty terrible candidate. Really wish Obama could run again and think the 8 year rule is f****ing idiotic.
