have been rather vocal and falling on the side of what Charlotte did. As does a civil rights activist and minister that spoke at our local school board here in VA when this topic came up, and now looks like it's headed for the Supreme Court after one more step. He called it the Civil Rights issue for this era. Granted that's just his opinion, but I guess he's in a better position to equate it than I am. And IMO, that should be unaffected by the size of the population to which it applies.

Also, absolutely Charlotte and others that want to go with the identify method should clearly define what they categorize as "transgender" and where it applies, eg bathrooms, not showers/locker rooms. Otherwise, it does offer the loophole people fear, and that defining is also left to the courts to define when it is invariably challenged. Obviously NC and those advocating that approach don't need to define it since their approach doesn't recognize "transgenders" by any definition.
