Depends on what you mean by that and who you are talking about.
If your worldview is built around white male factory workers and coal miners being able to find steady work in a small town mill with union benefits and save for retirement, then probably not.
If you're talking about women, minorities, gays, and modern service professionals then absolutely.
If you're talking about people being able to take advantage of myriad technical advances and comforts that their parents did not (heck, air conditioning, cellular phones, computers, and cable TV were considered luxuries a generation ago) then absolutely.
Like I said, it depends. The world and the country are changing but I am not one to confuse parity and lack of hegemony for the US internationally or white men domestically to be signs of decline.
