First thought to that was “who’s been killed to support Joe’s re-election?”

How many need to be killed to support the Lupos Mideast strategy - now that’s a good question.

Israel severely damaged Iran’s command and control of its proxies which can hit Israel with an attack on an Iranian consulate in Syria. In response, Iran signaled its retaliation for a good week, we sent our commander of Centcom to coordinate the defense, Iran attacked at the expected time, The US, UK, and Israel coordinated to destroy all the missiles with virtually no damage caused. In that tit for tat, Israel won by miles.

What will Israel gain from a retaliation, when they have already won this exchange, while it’s struggling to complete its operation in Gaza? At least another front with Hezbollah, if not directly with Iran. Why would they do that when they’ve already dealt a major blow to Iranian senior leadership in the area and suffered almost no damage in response?

Right now, Iran’s helped blunt some of the international condemnation of Israel over Gaza. This is a time when restraint is the right move. Iran’s already signaled their willingness to take the loss in this exchange. I think we should let them if they stand down.
