Except they're not just banning stoves, they're banning all Nat Gas lines
to new construction. So yes, that means no Nat Gas furnaces or fireplaces for heat.
And it's not "just like getting rid of leaded gas and lead paint". That led to cleaner and less toxic unleaded gas and oil or latex paints. But even if we accept your rationalization, shouldn't we then get rid of yours and others older less efficient, less clean gas stoves before banning the newer cleaner and more efficient ones? Otherwise it would be akin to abandoning Cash For Clunkers and replacing it with a ban on Hybrid cars.
