No, it won’t. There are those who are all in on your analysis, and those

Who completely reject it - the vast majority of US voters who are not persuadable. Then there is that tiny sliver which is, and will determine the outcome of the election. There are several factors, which, much to the chagrin of anti-Trumpies who see Trump as a historic shit stain, could well persuade more of them to vote for trump. Or enough in battle ground states to stay home. Biden’s age. Israel - talk about a rock and a hard place - possible some Jews who’ve generally voted dem will be put off by anti-semitism (or just anti-Israel sentiment) they perceive on the left flank. Pro-Palestinian folks are loudly proclaiming their objections to the pro-Israeli Biden policies they perceive. And then there’s immigration.

Much has been written about Biden missteps on this, and it’s very top of mind right now. Pretty broad agreement that the Biden admin has been torn between admin folks who want more stringent measures to restore order and those who want much more open policies. I think Biden himself would change the parole policies he implemented if he could go back in time. I think Harris should be forever miffed that she was made the sacrificial lamb on immigration policy - she was set up to fail, but didn’t exactly help matters herself.

Those of us represented by your post need the Biden admin to be practical about those voters who won’t give that much of a shit about those failings. Biden came into this election cycle outflanked and outgunned on immigration. The republicans gave him a political gift with their obstruction of the compromise, which should figure into Biden’s strategy to mitigate that clear weakness. But he really does need to go further to try to stem the flow now, without delay. It’s urgent to his re-election chances. He’ll be vulnerable to accusations of only coming to Jesus on the issue because polls show him politically vulnerable, but I’d rather he combat those accusations than sit back, do nothing, and hope those persuadable voters won’t remember Biden’s first 3 years and only blame repub obstruction this year. That would be a dicey strategy.
