that Division, basically eliminates the ability to apply for asylum here, or at least to get approved. It’s filled with garbage catch 22’s. (like immigrants cannot have passed through a third country on the way here, unless that country has its own asylum process and capacity to accept them, effectively putting the burden on Mexico to not create humanitarian crisis at our border ).
Division A is a hot mess of micromanagement, but does address Maga priorities of wall construction, ensuring freedom from Covid vaccinations, and barring the use of electric vehicles. Yay
I have mixed feelings about the requirement of employers use verify. I understand the reasoning, but putting it into a place immediately would effectively put a lot of hard-working, productive people out of jobs. Combined with what else is in the bill it just adds to the feeling of mean spiritedness
