The main issue is that any border/immigration legislation in an election

year, especially Donnie's desperate attempt at reelection is DOA. In a "party" where wins and losses are valued much more highly than national interests, a border/immigration bill removes a bedrock QOP talking point. Let's quit pretending that there is some real principle behind killing legislation that otherwise would pass.
