Why do you think a relatively small group of the GOP, who only control 1/3
of the institutions of political power in Washington, should get every single thing they're asking for in HR2? The only alternative to compromise is complete inaction, and that's what we're seeing now.
It's getting pretty hard to deny that a number of Republicans do not want any negotiation or action as regards to solutions to the immigration problem, they would rather keep the current chaos in place so they can use it as a campaign issue this November.
