Not intentionally, but sure. It would be against my ethics to kill


another human being. But if someone was kicking in my door in the middle of the night, I would respond with deadly force to protect myself and my family. So in that situation, by ethics which prevent me from killing another human being would allow me to to respond with deadly force.
