I don't blame the Dems for letting the GOP look stupid now, but ultimately

what counts is the end result.

What if, for example, this forces the GOP to all fall in line (which it will, because they sure as hell won't hand it to Jeffries, or even settle for a power sharing arrangement), suck it up, and elect Jordan as Speaker? Do you think Speaker Jordan, and a non-functioning House in-between, is a better ultimate outcome than if a handful of them originally said McCarthy was better than many possible alternatives? What exactly was the outcome Dems thought they could ultimately get when they voted to oust McCarthy and do their not insignificant part in creating this chaos?
