I didn't claim economic damage in the US. And this is just your politics


speaking - the economic recovery after the depth and breadth of the collapse in 2008 was fairly close to miraculous. And all the predicted hyperinflation from the fiscal measures never materialized. Do I think Obama did that? No, not mostly, but we all know you'd be screaming the praises of a repub president in that same position. Current economic numbers are about all you have to hang your hat on, and we'll see how that survives Trump's trade war if it extends.

There are about a million reasons that the Brexit Party may be reflecting strength in polls now, and there is no denying that GBP to USD was above 1.55 before brexit, declined into the 1.2s after, and is currently at about 1.28. That is about the best indicator you can see of the damage already inflicted and that which is expected to come by financial markets (bet against them at your own peril).
