I’m not all that worried about “the government” — the loss of privacy in

general and the way your information gets sold to all sorts of actors whom you have no clue about or way to control/influence is far more concerning IMHO. I do a lot of work that touches on Big Data and the way financial information is brokered and used for marketing or other purposes (and the way cookies and other scripts are used to advertise to you directly through social media channels and email) and it’s both fascinating and terrifying. And again, one thing for a reputable company to get your info and another for some shady scam artist.
