all Americans don't benefit from the American system of government. What on earth are you talking about?

I simply stated a fact. If you look at medicare funding vs disbursements and then look at the medicare tax structure, the top 5%+ fully pay for their medicare benefit, while the bottom 95% does not. You then made a stupid statement about that 5% being born on 3rd as if that's the only way to be successful.

As far as touching a nerve....more like a pet peeve. I HATE that mindset. I wasn't raised in poverty, but I wasn't born anywhere close to third either, and I've done pretty well for myself. My wife was raised in a 2BR/1BA home on the highway in rural NC. We recently helped her mother sell the house....for less than $20,000. My wife WAS was raised in poverty. She recently "retired" from work, but during her career she made it all the way to Sales Director for a major pharma company covering half the US with a team of 100 sales reps and managers under her. A career mentor of mine who is now the CEO of a major company was raised dirt poor in a small town in West Virginia. I could rattle of 20 more examples of very successful people I know who came from very modest upbringings.
