I think you're wildly misguided about where so much of the money goes.

Doctors have to staff their practices, and pay ever increasing malpractice insurance. And that's only from their remuneration. If you really wanted to find the driving force behind sticker shock bills, you'd be looking at hospital administrations (especially for-profit), and treatment costs.

Show me a study where physician pay increases make up a significant part of the rising cost of health care, and I'd take your argument more seriously.

It's not just doctors who people tend to appreciate. Any profession that is focused on protecting / bettering others generally has significant goodwill. Police (well depending on your cohort), military, nurses, firefighters are all respected highly. Historically teachers have been, but some union efforts over the years (refusing to give up on seniority pay, etc) have soured public opinion.

Again... you might not place much value on modern medicine, and if that's your position, I can understand why you wouldn't want to pay for it. But most people like to live longer, and better lives.

And, "this much righteous indignation"? Only two people responded to your post.
