There's already a thread on that topic that no one cares about.
This thread is about Dems targeting groups of the political opposition with the IRS.
But as to Kansas,
Bureau of Economic Analysis most recently lists Kansas as 6.4 GDP growth for 3rd quarter 2015, which is the 2nd highest in the country behind S.Dakota, and ahead of the national average of 1.9% and unfortunately Virginia's 1.2%. So, this seems to actually be superb.
Bureau of Labor most recently lists Kansas as 3.8 unemployment rate, which is tied for 11th and below the national 4.7 rate. So, this at least seems pretty stellar.
Per BLS, job growth since the recession has been 7.4%, which is good but below the average.
Median income is at the national average, and the poverty rate and % without healthcare are a couple % points less than the national average, putting Kansas in a more favorable position.
Statistics show that Kansas gun homicides are about average and their education spending is the highest it has ever been.
I have little interest in the state of Kansas other than Bill Self trying to steal CTB's recruits late in the game. But all in all, it appears to be a normal to above average state on many aspects, statistically speaking. At least when looking without the blue-hued vision of liberal rag hitpieces.
So, I might say "What is the matter with those saying 'what is the matter with Kansas?'"
