But because they've painted themselves in a corner of basically, "The whole thing has got to go, period, full stop, non-negotiable," they have yielded the floor to the status quo and limited their remedy to impotent whining.

If you think Democratic congressmen and senators from, say, Ohio are going to draw a line in the sand over gender reassignment surgery for less than .25% of the population, you don't understand why Reagan and even W were so effective with blue dog Democrats, or why we have O-Care instead of single payer today.
