that Canada and France aren't the same system as England, mainly because we're not idiots. Now, maybe you could try to realize:

- that we might be more convinced of going single payer if we weren't fully convinced that those so much smarter than us would certainly include stupid chit like this, and much much more, in the cost of doing so.

- that the great Medicare survives in large part due to the subsidy it gets from the very existence of private insurance, because their low pay rates can be absorbed thanks to the higher pay rates from private customers. And yet they still pay out well over $3 for every dollar taken in, an unsustainable model. And certainly a model that will be fraught with problems if we are all on it.

- that we are not foolish enough to believe that Govco Insurance Co. will ever be the most efficient way to spend money processing these claims.

Medicare for all will never be the best solution. But if we keep f'ing things up, not to worry, it's just a question of time before we accept that it may be the only solution left.
