admin that is mucking up the works here. Particularly in NC, I think there was a process at play to exert pressure on the state. The feds are bringing this to the forefront in a far less constructive way. It is forcing a circumstance that inevitably generates push back.

And you are right, I take enormous exception to this notion that there must be bigotry at play. I don't doubt there is some of that. But I also think for all the reasons I stated that everybody's lives can be impacted by this, so reasonable people can argue that this is more like cosmetic surgery, or have objections about privacy in bathrooms and locker rooms. Those may not be the ultimate conclusions, but it is a bullying tactic to automatically accuse those with objections of bigotry. Again, this is not the same as the Civil Rights movement or even the gay marriage movement, where nothing but bigotry could really explain the objections.

I can tell you that I deeply oppose the notion that convicted criminals in prison will have sex change operations provided to them by the state.
